  • A lot of good songs here but what a contrast with the 1980's. You could easily do a top 1000 songs of the 1980's and not have to reach for a single b-side special. You gotta stretch to do a top 100 of the 1990's.

  • Growing up we used to go to the skate rink in town every other week, once a week in summer, and I can't hear that song "My heart will go on" without remembering the couple's skate. They always had two couple's skate songs and so we'd get about 4-5 people get up to speed and then sling that last person across the floor.... I don't know how any of us escaped broken bones.... Except one time I was attacked by some chick from a church group.... She told me to shut the f up, I said make me, so she did..... And that's how I learned not to ever get in to a fist fight with skates on.

  • All these songs are excellent. But they are far from all the best songs. There were about 400 songs of this quality published in the 90s. Here are some of the best songs missing in the video: Ace of Base - Cruel Summer - 1998 Alanis Morissette - Thank U - 1998 Annie Lennox - Walking on Broken Glass - 1992 Annie Lennox - Why - 1992 Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch - 1999 Blur - Song 2 - 1997 Celine Dion - Falling into You - 1996 Chris Isaak - Wicked Game - 1990 Chumbawamba - Tubthumping - 1997 Cornershop - Brimful of Asha - 1997 Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's - 1995 Dido - Here With Me - 1999 Dido - Thank You - 1998 Dido - White Flag - 1993 Duran Duran - Ordinary World - 1992 Eagle-Eye Cherry - Save Tonight - 1998 Enigma - Return To Innocence - 1994 Eurythmics - I Saved the World Today - 1999 Faith Hill - This Kiss - 1998 Faith No More - Easy - 1992 - USA Gabrielle - Rise - 1999 Jennifer Paige - Crush - 1998 Joan Osborne - What If God Was One Of Us - 1995 Lara Fabian - I Will Love Again - 1999 M People - Don't Look Any Further - 1993 M People - Moving on Up - 1993 Macy Gray - I Try - 1999 Madonna - The Power Of Good-Bye - 1998 Marc Anthony - I Need to Know - 1999 Melanie C - I Turn To You - 1999 Melanie C - If That Were Me - 1999 Melanie C - Northern Star - 1999 Meredith Brooks - Bitch - 1996 Moby - Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad - 1999 Moloko - Sing It Back - 1999 New Radicals - You Get What You Give - 1998 OMC - How Bizarre - 1995 REM - Man On The Moon - 1992 REM - Shiny Happy People - 1991 Robert Miles - Children - 1996 Ronan Keating - When You Say Nothing At All - 1999 Santana and Rob Thomas - Smooth - 1999 Savage Garden - To The Moon and Back - 1996 Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like A Woman - 1999 Shania Twain - That Don't Impress Me Much - 1998 Shania Twain - You're Still The One - 1997 Simply Red - Fairground - 1995 Sixpence None The Richer - Kiss Me - 1998 Sophie B. • All Michael Jackson songs are too high, and Boyz II Men songs are too low. Boyz II Men had three #1 Billboard singles and each set a record for consecutive weeks at #1 with 12, 14, and 16 weeks. That means Boyz II Men had the top-3 songs at the same time in terms of consecutive weeks at #1 all-time. Also, something seems wrong when NSYNC doesn't have a single song in the top-100. I have many other smaller gripes...but this is an opinion list, so small gripes are expected.

  • It was an interesting ranking, but songs like "Kiss me" by Sixpence none the reacher and "You’re still the one" by Shania Twain were needed (both of 1997). I also disagree with some songs included, for example, I desagree with many songs by Mariah Carey, because in my opinion two were enough. However, that's a great ranking!

  • There;s a ton of great dance/house music here but they missed a lot of great rock songs there were huge anthems in the 1990's, they did include some michael jackson songs that I barely even heard played, which was weird. where was " Tubthumping " by Chumbawamba ? for 3 years during the 90's you could not go to a bar without hearing that song. What about the Red hot chili peppers? Not a single song on the list. Also, Bon Jovi bed of roses which was the final song of the night at almost every place every night for the entire 1990's, somehow not on the list....
